Sapfo 2024: Pleasure
We will explore pleasure through the following topics:
The pleasure of being (yourself)
Certain joy starts with being able to relax and be authentic. When feeling safe and loved, we are more likely to take the opportunity to play, experiment, fool around, let ourselves be, take up space, express ourselves freely, gather and create a safer space in ways WE need. Cultivating and preserving our favorite reflection of ourselves in the community. The comfort of all of us is an important condition for pleasure to flourish!
The pleasure of not working
Every type of rest is different - a game of soccer or basketball with friends, an afternoon reading a book, a run in the woodland paths along the sound of birds, a soak in a warm bath full of fragrant foam... what these have in common is that they are not designed to build capital. Without being smothered by dirty socks, scrubbing greasy pans, stepping away from the screens and the customers and the managers and everything else that "needs" to get done, we can then focus on what we want to do.
Queer pleasure
Express yourself - creatively, aesthetically, mischievously, flirtatiously, aloud! Scream out what you've gathered inside! Or tickle a canvas with the soft, supple tip of a brush, hear it exhale in delight... paint, sing, play, make connections - for a no-obligation weekend or for the rest of your life - in here we come to live a sapphic utopia. This weekend is for rebellion and unbridled queerness.
Safe pleasure
My body is flooded with indulgence every time I touch you, my skin tingles at the memory of your warm lips against my neck, it feels like you could suck the life out of me with a single bite! With cravings, passions and desires unraveling, it is so easy to get lost and succumb to destructive magnetism - in relation to others, to yourself and to various substances. It is important to keep on learning to maintain balance, boundaries and enjoyment in a sustainable way. In the process of seeking pleasure, to stay healthy and happy.
