The festival vibe is a shared responsibility. These guidelines help create a safer, more joyful space. Take initiative, support others, and if needed, contact the organizers. Organizers may ask uncooperative individuals to leave.
It is a safer space, but every one of us must contribute to creating it. We will ask anyone engaging in any form of violence to leave.
💪 This space empowers people in marginalized positions related to queerness, femininity, class, and race
⚠️ No Toxic Masculinity
If you are a man, be mindful and make space. Masculinity can manifest in many ways. Do not try to dominate, control, or exploit others to feel important.
🤝 Active Consent
If someone has not clearly and openly expressed a desire to interact with you (including any physical contact), that means they don’t want to. Don’t force others to touch you (or interact with you), and don’t touch others without their consent.
🫡 Take Criticism Personally
We all make mistakes, but we must learn to take responsibility for them and grow from the experience. Let’s take accountability for our actions and be open to criticism.
🌈 No Racism, Sexism, Transphobia, Xenophobia, or Discrimination Based on Class, Body, or Ability
This space is meant for us to feel loved and unrestrained. Here, the responsibility lies with structurally privileged people to learn how to coexist with us—not the other way around. Let’s not forget that queerness has nothing to do with capitalist ideas of progress.
*These community guidelines are inspired by the "Yellow Vests" collective from New York City and the Bibimbatty collective based in Copenhagen.
